Number of Downloads of a Marketing Product. How to analyze?

    Hello Guys,

to promote and market one of my blogs, I started offering a free marketing product (marketing advices for newbies -ebook). But the confusing thing is the same marketing book is available on some other websites too (they are also my websites, and in some general marketing niche forums). So I can't analyze how many downloads are there from any particular website.

Can anybody advice me how to track the downloads? I saw on a site that the guy has added some 'sid=somevalue' with the product download url. I don't know how to set this.

    Please advice me

Are you requiring emails and full name for free downloads?
There are some track downloads monitors. have you tried any?

    Thanks for the reply sultan.

I 'm not asking any full name or email field to get the downloads. People who visit the page can download the pdf ebook directly. I'm not taking any inputs. Any idea?

The free book would be a good method to build a mailing list.........them you could notify your subscriber about new posts on your blog......should help drive traffic...

What I said is one method used by many online marketers....
