    I have heard that the more ad blocks, the more revenue you will earn.

    However, I tested it on my site and it did not hold true for me.

    Now I have only 1 leaderboard, which does fairly well.

    Personally I'd prefer if they went the other way and came out with something like 160 x 300 which would essentially be just a "half" large rectangle. I think they'd fit well at the top of content and only give two high EPC ad options for users to click then you could offer the 336 x 280 option at the bottom.

    I've found that more ads on a page results in smaller amounts per click, but a higher cpm. In the short run, I make more money with Adsense by having multiple blocks of ads. However, in the long run, all the different ads showing on 1 page (especially short pages) is excessive, and I believe should only be used in cases where the website is intended for arbitrage.

    you are still thinking per-click, but what if the ad gets clicked twice as often? perhaps the advertiser ranking is more like this, for 3 ad blocks:

    $1/day
    $.85/day
    $.75/day

    $.60/day
    $.55/day
    $.40/day

    $.25/day
    mfa garbage
    site-targeted cpm garbage

    etc... it's probably some type of revenue per impression deal, as yoogi pointed out... but it's definitely not ranked per click.

    More ads == More Revenue
    More ads == More CTR
    More ads == Less CPC
    More ads == Less Loyal Visitors

    exactamente...

    occasionally I remove an adblock to keep things fresh, but my personal experience is there is no relationship between the revenue per click and the amount of ad-blocks used.

    I am not saying I am right, but that's my experience.

    actually its because more ads means there is opportunity for ads with low cpc to be displayed so when they will be clicked you'll get lower cpc.

    i believe in more ads as well, but it only holds true if your niche has enough quality advertisers to support the number of ads you put up.

    but there is a point of declining returns, where too many blocks, or even any blocks on certain pages, can have a negative effect on the overall site epc.

    one advantage to more ads is that you can target the the best-paying keywords in your niche... make sure that they are relevant keywords, of course... it'll drive up the bidding on the rest of the ad blocks.
