Number of Accounts in Ebay

Any idea how many accounts that can we open in eBay? I am referring using the same address? Any idea? Please help. Thanks

 

eBay's rules do not allow for one person to open more than one account

If you are referring to your physical address, then it will not accept two accounts, however if you are referring to an IP address, then you might be able to go through. Still remember that one person can have only one ebay account on his name and his/her physical address.

The cool thing about it is that "you can have as many accounts as you want" according to ebay's support.

However, when we opened up a second one - they took it down because they told our first account's rating is not so good ..

moreover, they recently introduced duplicate listing prohibition, which prohibits users to list the same item more than once even on different accounts - so the whole thing of having multiply accounts is pointless anymore

and if you think of playing with it - don't even try. They do intensive data mining to see which account is related to any other account .. and if they find any relation between 2 accounts listing same items - you're in trouble...

 

Your ebay account is normally connected to paypal. Both allow 1.

 

One address, one paypal, and one credit card.

 

Me I only have one account in ebay but two paypal that are both active.

 

I've just been on with support and they say that you can have many accounts but only using the same address details and paypal address as mentioned by Lucilla. The problem comes when you are selling the same kind of item under many accounts.
SO you can have many ebay ID's. It's not useless as you might have many niches like naturalprodcts id and tennisshoes id etc etc.., it keeps things tidy.

 

If all of the address is same then you open only one account. eBay does not accept more account by same address.

You can open multiple accounts but you also need to open multiple paypal accounts and bank or credit card accounts. And as others stated, it's not worth the hassle now that ebay limits listings.
