Number FOUR for a good keyword?! I haven't done SEO yet!!

I was having fun, toying around, and went to one of my older sites: www.uselection08.org to add some content and tool around with some links. What did I find when I googled it to see some Indexed pages?

I'm number FOUR for the term "US Election 08" out of 26,000,000 results. Now, I can't remember how to find overture, but I assume that in the coming months this is going to be very valuable, as if it already isn't, right? Am I getting very excited over something very small?

I've never done SEO, I've always paid someone, so I don't know anything about it.

If you could put a price tag on how much a number 4 ranking in a keyword like this is worth, do so please :]

    Thanks.

Guess it's not worth anything ;) No American is going to search that key phrase, they would use 2008 or correct term "elections". The value is minimal at best.

I mean 29,000,000 results though.. It can't be totally worthless, right?

Will value raise come election time?

Actually, it's 2,920 results, you have to use quotes. But congratulations (it's a start!)... start working on a term like "presidential election", where there is a little more volume.

erm.... you own the domain. CHeck the analytics... is it getting traffic? If not... then it isn't likely worth much at this point
