    Hi, all.
Does number of pages of a site have some effect on ranking in SERP?
    Thanks in advance.
    Tuan.

yes. i think it will help. The more pages you have, the more internal links you can give to your page using that specific keyword.

The SERPs rank pages, not websites. So for each individual page, the answer would be "no" - having a lot of other pages on the site will not help the page. Rosiee007 is correct in that, if you use many pages on your site for internal links to one page on your site (for example, your home page), this will help you in the SERPs for that page.

I agree with WebFreedom, have seen many 1 page sites rank well in SERP for some terms

after reading your comment, i have a doubt. suppose i have 12 internal pages..now what is the best scenario to link to the home page:

    1. Use the same keyword phrase from all internal pages to link to the home page.

    or

    2. Use variations of keyword phrases or totally different keyword phrases for internal linking.

thanx for the suggestion. i got some ideas now...will try them out..

    Hi Deepak,

I'd suggest using four variations of your home-page keywords as anchor text on your internal pages. This will create a more natural look from the SE's perspective, and will also reinforce your home-page keywords. :)

Every page will have its rank. So, u can have more positions/more pages shown for the search of that keyword
