Null backlinks ? Are they any good ?

What if i were to link to my site from another site as :

OR

I tried checking for backlinks and these links do count. But does google penalize me for that ?? Is it illegal to have backlinks without anchors ?

Do they help in any way in SEO ? atleast 0.0000001 % of any help in SEO ??

what's the point of getting back links, without anchor text?
you can't optimize for your keyword this way...
if you wanna do it just for your PR, it won't help you much, remember that only
the SERP is what's really matters
and I'm not sure that anchorless links will really help your PR

anyways, if your plan is to create a page with million, invisible back links
without anchor text to your site, or something like that

well... it won't be a good idea at all, it's called link spamming. and search engines
will not give any weight to those links, and that's on the good case scenario
on the bad one, you can get your site flagged or banned

since bots crawl text.. i don't think they can recognize if you don't put anything on it...

is a character and indeed an anchor. I think it would recognize it. However the question about google penalizing it ?? I m unsure.

It will not help actually null or blank ones are useless anchor text.. Whats the use of your targeted keywords?
