Nudists

I like to consider myself pretty socially liberal. I have no hang ups when it comes to either. I did go to school for art after all. In art it is "nude", not naked. That said, there are fine lines between nude/naked, and of course porn.

 

This had more to do with the context of the content than it did to do with nudity or taste. When I am watching football (not that wussy stuff abroad) real football, I do not want to see some 40 year old nappy hooter on my TV, just as much as I do not want to see some chic on the sideline interviewing a has been when crucial plays are going on. I want to see football. During prime time when our kids are watching we like to be in control of the situation. If I want to see nudity I pay for it, and I find a place to watch it. Prime time, PUBLIC TV is not the place for it IMHO, because we have no control over the content. When we know (as Americans) what the content is going to be, we do not expect to have crap like what happened during the SuperBowl thrown in our faces. If we want to look at it, we go find a place to look at it.

@gworld - I agree with you, if he didn't show us the site, then how can we say yes or no. We need to see the content of your site before give our opinion.

 

My dog was flipping through the channels when he came upon a naked man having sexual intercourse with a woman, legs in the air and lying upon a doctors table. The man was a doctor and just grinding away, clear butt shots and all.

my main beef with mia is that "Get started today and choose from these popular options:" above google ads is risking a ban, don't want to see the bloke get booted cos of one line, and also it could be seen by G as breaking the "made for adSense" rule... thats all, not a personal attack at someones "hard work"

This whole thing about nudity is part of stupid "morality" in USA. It is OK to show adsense on sites that are ultra conservative and want to kill and destroy every one else on earth but God forbid if they show some tits.
It is also interesting that adwords has no problem with taking ads and money from porn sites, so the mentality is that nude sites are good enough to give Google their money but not good enough to make money from them.
It is strange that in this age, such a big corporation as Google has to gives in to bunch of loonies idea of morality.

Of course. A law was broken. Look, had it been something that was accepted or expected, no one here would have made an issue. The fact remains this crap had no place during a football game.

It's not that people are against showing a nipple on TV, because that and more happens all day long. The thing is we put things like this in appropriate places.

Case in point. If my child is watching Noggin and Steve from "Blue's Clues" decides that he wants to show his penis to every 2 year old watching the show, just for a second. Is that right? Is that something that is accepted abroad? I don't think so.

However, if it is 9PM here and we are watching "NYPD Blue" and the same thing happens, no one cares. Why? Think about it for a little bit.

Everything has it's time and place. Have some children... Believe me, I'm accused of being the biggest pervert on the planet, and if you saw some of my art and the phallic references I really do not think there would be this "USA is so uptight" impression given off. But I do what I do when it is appropriate. I do not hire a stripper for a 1st grader b-day party, and I do not walk into a church and start pissing on the floor. I can understand where some have a hard time drawing a parallel to my comparisons, but I have to exaggerate to help emphasize my point.

Ah, but then again we have lovely countries that think it is acceptable for incest to take place with minors and murder to follow in exchange for short jail time. I guess we are a bit uptight here The worlds not perfect, but labeling the US and her people as being uptight when it comes to nudity is not a fair assumption. Clearly no one wanted to see a nappy old crusty hooter on one of the worlds most ugly people during a prime time TV football event. Would I have sued? Hell no, but I was pissed. I've not watched the big 3 networks since. In all fairness their programming is crap anyway. I have DirectTV, and I like to watch things like the "Sopronos", "Deadwood", and anything to do with the "Real Sex" shows. I guess I could best sum up the US when it comes to nudity and sex as a country that goes looking for it when it wants it, and does not like it shoved in our face when we don't want it.

Why are you taking risk. But yes it depends on your priorities. If the site is more priority than adsense, then go ahead and if its otherwise, ping google and if does not get proper answer, leave it. Create account with someone else's name and use the adsense then.

 

True, but I wouldn't be surprised if Google still had a problem with nudist material. If you go for it, be ready for anything. it may not be against their TOS directly, but they may still fear their image being hurt and try to get rid of you.
