Let me point you to the search function on this forum...

We know nothing about you but I suspect you'll have more success selling affiliate products aligned to your area of expertise. If you're a fat slob don't promote diet products, if you're an engineering whiz then sell engineering type stuff where you can add value.

    Hi Sarah k,

Thank you for responding to my SOS MSG, but can you please put me on the road? I have questions ex: do I must have a website to promote products? how can I link to a landing page without having a web site? when can I find this information?

Your concept is correct, that is how it works, however first start with not only what above recommends, but build a quality site for it. Remember if you have a store in the middle of the forest, NO ONE WILL KNOW, the higher the quality traffic you drive, the better. If your visitors like motorcycle helmets, and land on a page selling cloths, doesn't help much.

I'm referring to his over all initial research, and ability to make money by affiliate marketing. As per starting the site, yes I'd agree as well. However concentrating on good content, bring your readers back, no reason to come back if you add no value. Most affiliates save cookies, so if your reader doesn't erase or clear his cache, then depending on TOS, you still get credit for a sale, if they go back say a week later to complete a sale.

Whether your marketing costs money or not depends on -
Do you want to pay for traffic with paid ads? You seem new so I would NOT recommend to spend money on paid advertising.
You are going to want to start with free methods such as social media traffic, but its way to much to explain here.

Also your other stumbling block might be whether to spend money on a website or not, you might need to spend 10 to 20$ on hosting and a domain name, but not necessarily. Some CPA offers can be linked to directly. Once again its a lot of information to cover, but you don't need a ton of money necessarily.

Go find some good guides or forums to learn the basics, before you jump in. Check out my post in the marketplace or PM me if you want some links, I don't want to post them here.

Exactly, stick to what you know. There's an affiliate program available for just about anything. Just create a blog about something your passionate about and promote stuff related to your articles. Don't be afraid to do product review videos either because video marketing is still #1. Once your site starts pulling a bit of traffic apply for adsense and be sure to follow their guidelines to the letter.

Paid ad is a fast paced method in marketing and it will be expensive if you are not well experienced marketer in your own field as well as not knowledgeable in using paid ads.

Paid ads can work good, it also shows you are actually investing into your business, however depending on keywords and campaigns can get very costly, some advertiser giants pay as much as 55 - 60.00 per keyword. With or without the sale.

You don't need a website but it will go along way to help you. As for expertise, i will prefer you have passion and willingness to learn about your subject matter.
Once you have that in place you can then create your website and fill it with excelLent content. If you write or produce quality content for your niche, your chances of success are very great.
One thing i must add here also is that you need to consider setting up a form to collect emails from your site visitors. You will see that in the long run it is one of your best chances of online success.

I have been promoting CPA offers for over 16 years.

I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers because there is no credit card / purchase required. All a user has to do is fill out a form to complete an offer / generate a commission, so conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money angle / benefit to them. As they have overall performed best for me and tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to very large general audience). So the potential to generate high volume exists.

There are many good PPL offers that pay $20-$80 per lead that perform well. There are many other offers that pay more or less. However, the payout is not the most important factor. You also have to look at the conversion rate. You could have an offer that pays $8-$9 and if it is converting at 2X+ that of a $20 offer, then they will perform about the same. You could have an offer that pays $90-$100 and if it converts poorly, it may not even be worth running.

Some verticals I have done very well with are: insurance, education, debt, credit, mortgage, loans, homeowner offers, etc...

At a minimum you should get cheap hosting and redirect user to the offer. That way if an offer is paused, stopped or you want to send the traffic to another network, etc... you can change the affiliate link. Most importantly you are controlling the flow of the traffic you are generating.

If you have a limited budget you could created a blog and facebook page and create articles related to the offers and post them. Get users to like / share your page / articles for additional free organic reach.

You could create a giveaway contest and get user to like / share (build reach) and register (build an email list). The bigger the giveaway the better. Giving away something with a value of $50 isn't going to generate the attention of something valued at $1000.

Once you have a real budget, I would look into acquiring fresh / targeted data (email), in that you know what the users are interested in and that a PPL offer exist that matches their interest. This is the main way that I promote offers

I'm not going to go into data acquisition / monetization,. But that is the way to turn promoting PPL offers into a 6-7 figure business. While that is a huge range, much comes down to ones ability to scale and effectively managing the infrastructure that comes with scaling.
