I just received this email from MSN team:

I think this would be helpful.

There are a lot of softwares like trillian available which integrates a lot of messengers in them, but Yahoo/MSN/AOL keeps blocking them, this is a official release and should work much better than Trillian and brothers.
I don't know, i never really like trillian!!!!

I think this is only available for Live Messenger users. I received an invitation for Live! Messenger and Windows Live! Mail. I did not like their first beta release of messenger. I used it for a week and uninstalled it. But, 2nd release is much better, i am using it for a month now without any complaints.

These Live! services by MSN are still invite only i guess!! Seems like they are following Googles footsteps.

Anyhow, i like this new feature a lot.

Here is the link to the official website: http://ideas.live.com/

I thought it was another BETA that let you add yahoo contacts.

Seems like a good move for Microsoft, they're starting to get their act together against Apple and Google.

You cannot login into MSN Messenger using your Yahoo ID, you can add your Yahoo contacts in your MSN Messenger.

If I remember correctly, there was an IMTiger Plugin which allowed you (probably still does) to communicate with AIM & ICQ contacts from Msn Messenger.
