Now the viruses have done it!

This is unbelievable! I was just going about my business then my moniter showed the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH! You can't do anything about it and so i hit space and my computer shut down. Then when I came back after it WIPED MY HARDDRIVE, I installed Windows again ( thank god I just did some backup discs a couple weeks ago ) and now EVERY SINGLE file and program I had is gone!

This is a huge blow to me and I was in the middle of some transferring of some sites too. And I deleted them from my host after I got them on my hard drive. SO I'm pretty much screwed. I've only had time to install MSN, AVG, FF, and a couple other programs.

The viruses have never done it this bad before!

Weird thing though... I did a virus scan and all the viruses are gone thats some f**ked up virus...

This is gonna take for ever to recover from this!

 

woah... that must suck. once happened to me, although very different, a few years back, my dad was on our computer, found a virus, and decided to restore the pc, he told me that all my stuff would stay, then he did it.. and i lost over 1000 songs and lots of programs. now that sucked, with crappy internet connection i still havnt got 1000 songs back

Yes I quite agree it does suck. Also I agree with checksum to back up all the time and scan everyday while your sleeping! That's what I'm gonna do from now on!

This happened with my blog as well, luckily my readers were kind enough to get me my posts from their rss readers

Whoah! That's scary! This is the first time i've heard that kind of a virus!

 

I have no idea where I got it, I've had numerous viruses enter my cpu lately so I'm about to give up on this computer!

 

Sounds more like a nuke. I had some friends that would make them. You could insert them in just about anything and once the person even browsed the file it would start wiping system files. It would then do a quick format on the HD. My problem right now seems to be someone has hijacked or is attempting to hijack my websites

You have my sympathy! I lost my good system when I lost my house last year. Had to sell a really good book I had at a major loss of profit and recognition so I could replace it with the POS I have now. I have burned more hard drives in a year than I did in twenty before.

 

This was like 4 months ago LMAO!

 

Reminds me of last time. My screen went to Blue Screen OF Death when browsing dp forums because of finally fast virus
