Now that domain drops immediatly recieve a PR0 by new google policy, my question is when will domain transfers recieve the same treatment. The drop policy of course just killed the parked page business at least for the drop catchers and tasting market, but it is only a matter of time when the simple transfer of ownership causes the same issue. It may no longer be viable to 'capture' domains either through purchase or drop, and then try to monetise WITHOUT the new owner first re-establishing the domains presence by virtue of rebuilding its web presence and natural PR with brand new content.
google is not monitoring the transfers IMO. as the drop domains it can look daily drops and slap on them where as transfers that cant be applicable due to whois privacy etc factors
Actually, it's not a PR0. There's a difference between no PR and PR0. PR0 pretty much implies the domain has little or no value, while the lack of PageRank implies the domain is just waiting for the next update.
As chandan123 already said... the dropping of domains is in the public domain and so it is easy for google to track the same and reset its ranking... while the same cannot be done for transfers. Regards, RightMan
I don't see transfers getting the same treatment. Legitimate businesses trade hands all the time. Why would the value of a website drop to PR0 just because of a new owner?
