This is old info friends, according to revised budget the taxable income is more than 2 lacs for males.

 

This is not true at all mate. 1.6 lacs is the correct figure for males and for females it's 1.9 lacs. They have increased it to 10K.

 

pls get your facts right. The income slabs have not been changed only the percent applicable on the slab has been.
So, for males it is 10% only from 1.6 lacs to 5 lacs

 

For an income of 3 lacs per annum, you have to pay Rs.14000 per year as Income tax without any deduction considering that you are a male below 60 yrs.
