Looks like Google is now also straying into Amazon territory with the intent of distributing millions of book titles to it's huge consumer base. Not sure if this is a good idea or not as Google seems to be already big enough as things stand. However this may lead to better comptetition? In any case, it seems that the people at Amazon, as well as Microsoft and Yahoo (as well as others) are trying to stop this happening in the courts. This news seems interesting. Google really has a lot of opposition there. If this happens, this will surely increase competition among Google and Amazon. Let's see what happens.
Yeah...but is it competition we need...or is Google just shoving its weight around, tying to monopolise what it can?
I think google wants to own everything they can, because they know they can get it. I really don't care what google does, so long as they dont start putting restrictions on things. Imagine if google eventually owned everything. That would be scary.
