Now I'm not one for SEO conspiracy theories...

... But I have to say this IS a bit odd.

The theory I've heard going around here and there is that if you use adwords on a new site prepare for Google to "take it's time" indexing your site while it drains your ad budget.

Well... in this case it appears to be true.

Normally it takes a day or 2, maybe even 24 hours depending on when I can catch googlebot crawling my blog or any other site I put links on to get a site at least listed in Google. I build a site (completely) ad links to it on the aforementioned sites and let the bots fly! I did that with my latest project Big Love Boards just the same as usual only this time I decided I'd better hurry up with getting some traffic and interest to it because there are only a few episodes left for this season! So I started an adwords campaign. It's worked out well and has been sending great targetted traffic to my site as usual.

BUT.... low and behold 2 weeks later I do a site:bigloveboards.com and site:www.bigloveboards.com and Google acts like I'm a red headed step child it's never heard of!

So is that how we're playing it Google? Delayed SERP listings for sites that are making you cash?

I had a delayed listing for xeony.com last week despite a sig link here and 2000 other links elsewhere (I 301'ed another domain ;) ). Maybe Google is just slow at the moment?

Yeah but I've never seen it this slow. Just so happens to have happened when I tried Adwords on a new domain?

Google has been crawling slower lately, as far as I can tell. I took a week to get a new page indexed while it usually takes just a day or so. I did buy adwords to that page, but I don't really believe that has much to do with it.

Not really, cuz lots of other pages I added on the same day (different site) - no adwords purchased - are being added slower too.

It doesnt make any sense for Google to index pages with adsense slower. In fact it benefits google to index them faster. I wouldnt give any credit to this theory -im sure it is just coincidence and some overactive imagination.

To be honest they seem to sandbox some sites so heavily that it makes little difference whether they are indexed or not.

Aaah! But does the right hand of Google know what the left hand of Google is doing? I think there are not enough employees in Google. They should employ another 10,000 or so and make another 30 departments with managers and more CEO's. Make more Google software and reward programs.

Have I said too much? Just kiddin'

I think the Big G is just fine. All we need is a little patience. I have plenty of that. Been in this game for 2 years and still have so much to learn. In fact, never knew what Adsense was about until I pushed onto my sites on April 26 of this year. Now I see dollars coming in at an exponential rate.

Now I am thinking up new ways to attract more advertising on my sites and I have a new project that's a ripper. Can't wait to finish it and publish it!

Keep it going guys. The comments are great for all DP members.

Amazing... I paused the adwords campaign yesterday and at 615 am this morning the site is suddenly in the index.

    The coincidence here is alerting.
