Now I am angry! Almost all the money i made (most IM product launches) is refunded.

I think this resulted because the product owners do not tell the truth about their product in the sales page and after someone purchases if he finds out that he already have similar stuff he ends up refunding. Now I am deciding to almost NEVER promote product launches. Most do not tell you what their product is and that has resulted a lot of frustration. You may read in the warrior forum about this situation. Now I have to turn my face to another. Thats it.

Yeah I know what you mean, I hate that. That's why I've decided to only promote certain products. I remember hearing about Clickbank cleaning up and getting rid of the products that have a high refund rate. That'll be good.

$151 dollars got refunded this week in CB for my account. WTF, i already was planning on re-investing that money when i got it into my bank account. Now i scratched that idea till i can make that back. lol

Tomorow is a new week and i hope i do not get any refunds. I'm going to jump in the green energy niche and see if this goes better for the Month of April.

I know what you mean. I experienced the same in the forex and IM niche. Never bother promoting those types of products anymore.
Some people find it worthwhile. I mean, even if the refunds are considerably high, as long as you're making profit, right?
I guess it's just different strokes for different folks.
I personally prefer promoting products in the health niche.
Too much BS and rehashed crap in the IM and forex niche. :(

Yeah I hate that niche its widely known for having high refund rates. You are targeting the wrong crowd, they are mostly broke ass IM'ers who know they can get a refund.

Most IM'ers will just download the product (ebook) and then get a refund. Worst niche to promote.

I think alot of people go from launch to launch, buying everything and then refunding straight after. They probably do it just because they can (and CB definitely make it easy for serial refunders).

I typically get close to a 50% refund rate when I promote product launches. I get alot of sales because I create a really good bonus, but it really annoys me that they take the bonus and then refund.

The problem lies in the products you are promoting. Steer clear of ebooks. Too easy to refund. The better products are the ones that provide access to the tool or product via a subscription model plus those that don't refund pay you monthly.

That doesn't meant all IM products have a high refund rate.

But in general IM products have the highest refund rate amongst all CB products.

Its great they ban products but what happens after you have promoted it?

TOO LATE your reputation is in the toilet!

They need to screen better at the front end and not let these pieces of crap out in the first place.
I believe we should be able to see refund rates before we promote, that way you can build that into your numbers to make sure you keep making Bank.

Take care and just screen hard, always research its not hard to find out whats going to kill you in refunds.

Create a sales funnel. Capture emails, maybe mix in some adsense, monetize it further than just making that sale. Making a list of people you know buy products (even refunders) is a valuable list to have that you can use over and over. Also split test, then split test, then split test some more. You'll find little things that reduce refund rates and overall boost revenue. Don't get discouraged and give up over some refunds.

agreed with neighborhood - you got to follow up even on your refunds.

It is very informative reading what experienced members have to say about refunds. i will take this into account when choosing a niche.

One of the biggest problems I see is that people do not buy or get a courtesy copy of the CB product they are promoting. How can you effectively promote a product if you don't know anything about it? The only info you have is what is on the sales page and everything on many of the sales pages just ain't true. This type of stuff can easily be found out by buying and trying the product for yourself. This is particularly true for IM products as well as any Ebook/Info product in general.

What zeekstern said is interesting and would like to say that I tried that too. I purchased some products just for the sake of writing a relevant review. Guess what? I never made a dime. That may be because I did not generate good traffic to my review sites or articles. The idea is good but to buy every product launch for the sake of writing a review is not something I can afford. I myself then will become a serial refunder or else.
But it would have been nice if the product creators tell us even a hint of what their software or anything will do. They only tell you how much their system or software will make. But how can they fill up the whole page (salespage) writting just about that - how much the system can make you??
Anyway this is what I do. I select a product to be launched in the near future and check out the affiliates or jv section. If I get good information about the product good. If not I will try to go the backdoor and try to find out what the real product is. If the backdoor is open then I will find out what the product is and I will write relevant review. If I do not get info whatsoever way then I will wait until it launches and try to find something from the sales page. This is what I do.

I experience the same problem very often. The last product launch I promoted was total failure. I sold many items and ended up with 100% refund rate.

Sounds like you need to do some due diligence before promoting the product.
