It is negotiable, based on your skill level.

    why not indians ?

I think because of this tax filling norms in different countries ,web is separated between countries

so we should have uniform tax rate for those earning from web

so this would not separate americans from Indians

Okay, to answer your questions, as to why you must be an American citizen... It is because I want you to sign an NDA agreement, unfortunately signing an NDA agreement with someone out of the country would mean virtually nothing, because I would have no means to sue you, because I'm not going to travel to the other side of the world to find you.

So, I need an American citizen, because I know I will have the ability to find you and sue you if at some point in the future I was to get hurt by something you did.

The taxes are a small part, just because I know it's easy to 1099 someone. The bigger issues are the time zone differences, and being able to legally enforce an NDA.

Now if you'd all please stop cluttering my thread with the American vs. Indian debate, I'd simply like to find a qualified worker who is available on a consistent basis.

slickricky... What if the person go there to america just to work for you? Are you going to employ her/him? and convert his/her visa to working visa? Silly question but that helps my curiosity. Thanks bud.

Probably not, it would be too much of a risk for them to simply leave the country again, and I'd be in the same boat with being able to enforce my NDA.
