Good explanation, and thanks! The irritating thing over at Google is that there is no way to copy/paste from the list of channels. You have to eyeball it ;-) ... And yes, it seems that Google is still using channels. However, all that info must be 'internal' at Google.... the actual coding does not have the channel but the new ad slot thing. Yikes, they just keep changing things! I, for one, miss the way it used to be. You could change the coloring of the ad! And I think the channel SHOULD be in the page coding. Anyway... I agree with others here: This all looks quite legal with the TOS. But with Google, anything can change, next hour!

You don't get to control the ads at all.

Hi, I read this thread showing me how to set this up. However, I had previous already set this up when I first signed up. I entered in the Client ID and the Channel ID. I'm new here so I'm a little lost to what to look for next? How do I know that my ad is in effect? Also, are those the only 2 fields required? It covers the Client ID and the Channel ID. I'm curious to know if there is anything else required like an Ad ID? Please advise. Thanks.

 

Adsense questions must be posted under the Adsense forum, otherwise performing a forum search since your questions related to this thread have been explained several times already.

 

You need at least 50 posts to get this feature working.
Actually, channel ID isn't required, but it's best to use if you want to keep a track of your earning [or impressions] generated through revenue share, and that also answered your second question (how do I know that my ad is in effect).
Nothing else is required.

Almost feels like i'm playing an MMORPG in this forum. Where do I get this feeling?

 

I have about 2 - 8 impressions daily from this forum, but not earning yet... I hope that impressions will increase when my number of posts increase and then maybe the earn will come...

The revenue sharing feature is more likely a way to say thanks for participating, you should not expect make a living from your Adsense publisher ID no matter how active you could be.

Even though it's nice see your Adsense stats showing some cents coming from DP

I mean it's gives me a trickle of cents occasionally, but nothing big, and i'm pretty active on here .

 

You can, just start you copy above the list of channels, copy a bunch of it and then copy and paste into text editor. Since I transpose number so badly, I had to find a way. Eyeballing it for me would be a disaster.

Have you had any issues with this regarding Google Adsense Policy?

An SMF third party developer has developed a "patch" that will allow webmasters to offer this. I have a new forum and this would really help that get some posters, perhaps. I'm afraid of getting my account terminated in the process.

I asked Google, they just replied that they were too busy to help me.
