    you need to add the number of the channel. not the name.

    to get the channel number,. make an ad like you would for a website, then use the channel that you want to use for DP then when you get the html code, look for the channel id like here

    google_ad_client = "pub-****************";
    google_ad_channel = "4467843311"; <<<<<<<<<<number you enter on your usercp
    google_alternate_ad_url = "http://www.digitalpoint.com/ads/ads.php?t=seo";
    google_ad_width = 468;
    google_ad_height = 60;
    google_ad_format = "468x60_as";
    google_color_border = "FFBB00";
    google_color_bg = "FFD0AA";
    google_color_link = "000066";
    google_color_url = "222222";
    google_color_text = "222222";
    //--></script>

    Try making an ad now. They have changed it so it doesn't show so much info, and doesn't change the channel id.

    e.g this is what mine looks like:

    <script type="text/javascript"><!--
    google_ad_client = "pub-****************";
    //728x90, created 18/11/07
    google_ad_slot = "2789464690";
    google_ad_width = 728;
    google_ad_height = 90;
    //--></script>
    <script type="text/javascript"
    src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
    </script>

    you do not need the channel number, all it does is tell you what part you made from DP and as that is only a max of $2-3 a month, it really aint worth putting a channel id in it.

    i would be really interested if anyone can work out how the new adsense code works.

    The new ads are all made as follows

    <script type="text/javascript"><!--
    google_ad_client = "pub-****************";
    //728x90, created 18/11/07
    google_ad_slot = "2789464690"; <<<this is not the channel id
    google_ad_width = 728;
    google_ad_height = 90;
    //--></script>
    <script type="text/javascript"
    src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
    </script>

    I think there is some validation done in the back also as the revenue sharing hack i was trying to get running today will not work with anyones id except for mine in the pub-XXXXXXXXX area

    does anyone have a list of ad types so i can make my own versions of the old style ads.

    ie the bit that says google_ad_format = "468x60_as";

    does anyone know what all of the formats were shown as?

    Would really help me a lot

    thanks

    T

    I want to know more about adsense revenue sharing. I have not found in my profile any column to mention my publisher adsense id. How to get it. Also how many posts are required before starting getting revenue share.

    I noticed that also Turbosatan. In the new adsense code, there is no line for channel id. Anyone have any ideas?

    well i like the idea of getting paid for posting. and just to agree with what that other guy said about so many threads. i hate to see 100s of them, but then again thats how SEO works for forums. I just wish there was an eaiser way to find answers on these forums then searching threw hundreds of posts just to find a half assed answer. ya know?

    FYI, any crap or useless posts get deleted on DP. Mods are doing a great job here.
    Also i dont think any senior member at DP take this revenue sharing thing seriously. it will get you a couple of cents per month.

    Welcome to DP. just browse through and you will find several ways to earn $$$$.

    Most of the time ppl report any such posts. Mods take action on them. Like you have posted two posts in a row. Its not allowed. So there is a good chance that a Mod will merge your posts (you may get an infraction too).
    Try adding an avatar and it will work. I am not sure if there is some min. post requirements for avatar to appear.
    Try adding vatra through this link.

    Go through FAQ once, and stick to them if you want to survive for long here.
    Also read sticky threads in different sections before posting.
    And above all use your common sense. :)
