Yeh , because the government making a bunch of anti-privacy and anti-free speech laws is no reason to assume they will use them! I'm sure they pass all those laws to never use

Your cell phone has satellite tracking in it.
You're a terrorist if you smoke weed.
You're a terrorist if you dislike Bush.
You're a criminal if you don't want to thumb scan for your drivers license!
The military can invade towns and burn buildings without notifying the local police!
People are arrested for peaceful protests and put in toxic "holding pens"

    Give me break!

You see... they're already talking about it. They've stated it's impossible to stop all terror attacks on the US, even saying its just a matter of time... and billionaires are saying nuclear attacks are coming... and here we have the GENERAL leading the army saying when it happens - bye bye constitution.

Well, it looks like the government is getting started regulating the net already. How do you guys who were laughing at that guy who got sued for for 11 billion bucks feel now?

Stay tuned. There will be a lot more laws passed in the coming years. The crackdown has begun. I should have known freedom from the government on the net was too good to be true.

Here is the post of someone not smart enough to realize the government is getting ready to come after people like them next, slowly passing laws to eventually fully regulate and control the net.

You just don't get it do you? You will when they start taxing the hell out of you and making it impossible to make money online.

The goverment is WAYYYYY out of control and out of touch.
    Its a fucking joke.

The middle class is all but gone.
Its now the poor and the rich, somehow i have been left in the middle, i guess its better than being on the poor side.
Butstill, think about the last twenty years or so, you can get a pretty good picture of whats happening to our country.

Everyday i think of moving out of here, just i dont have the balls. Plus it isnt bad enough to make me move, yet.

I agree with you 110% The goal of the government IS to destroy the middle class. They've wanted to do it for years, and all their policies show that this is what they are doing.

First they send American jobs overseas, then they allow tons of illegal immigrants into the country to drive down the wages. The cost of education has gone up, forcing Americans to struggle to work two jobs while attending college or taking massive student loans which put them in debt. Soon only the rich will be able to send their kids to school, and will be able to get the best jobs.

The government made one mistake though. The mistake they made was the internet. With the Internet people are fighting back like never before.

People like me and others here at DP have an opportunity to run a home based business and not rely on big brother corporations to support them.

This pisses the government off. Now they are getting ready to finish the job by regulating the net.

My advice to everyone is to work your butt off and put away as much money as you can and diversify by investing in other areas.

The window of opportunity to make money on the net is slowly closing.

I think America is going into trouble if the govt seeks to control the net.

What about Europe, Asia etc.? - more troubles ahead -
Europe seeking more control over the internet as well, soon Asia will follow.
Will there be an internet war? - locking each others IP adresses? - conflicts of interests? - all that is possible.

I've seen IPs testing software to block adsense servers already, fortunately Google cleared that one.

I agree with the article saying that the word "annoy" is problematic.

It's impossible to annoy anyone. People allow themselves to be annoyed.

    Psychology 101.

You may not be responsible for the actions that happen to you, but you are responsible for how you interpret those actions.

People get sick of being harrassed and confused. I wouldn't mind seeing some of the people who email you pretending to be someone else paying for it.

Freedom is not that simple. In China they are told they are free as long as they obey the government. We are the government here. You can contest, protest, do whatever is within your legal limits to help make a difference. If you don't get enough people on your side to fight for your agenda, then maybe it's not the will of the masses to follow your ideas. That is freedom of choice. You can't tell people what they want, who they have to vote for. Like it or not, Bush is president because we elected him.
