I was just wondering, my directory has already been added to several other directories and if i would sign up for let´s say 100 directory submissions are you going to check which directories i am already listed at or do you always use exactly that same list that is displayed on your webpage.

One more question how many directories can you choose to be submitted to is there a limit like 300 or so?

 

Can I just say that Tunings service is fantastic!!

I asked for submissions within 5 days and he did them within 2 with a full list of directories that had submitted to. He also lists the directories that already have been submitted to( answering marcus question) and yes he just ignores that and adds your site to another directory.

 

That is not always possible. Some times the directory automatically checks for duplicate entry producing error. In some case I may see the listing in same category I'm about to submit. If any of this occur, I won't submit again to these directories.

From experience, Tuning is one of the few people that will even accept the job. Nearly all others will only submit new sites.

What Tuning says (automatic checking) covers I would say over 80% of the known free directories.

I haven't seen the selected list of 100 that he submits to, but I can easily imagine that in that list, 100% of the directories have automatic check implemented. (Those that don't have it are usually powered by some less popular or home cooked scripts.)

Moreover, speaking about the remaining less than 20%, many of them will accept even duplicate entry. That leaves you with just very few directories where duplicate submission is a problem.

I'm curious about this, as I wanted to go with the Multiple Url Directory Submission option myself.. Have you come across directories that won't take the inner pages, and figured out a way around that?
