So I am trying to penetrate a niche on one of my sites. I noticed that the #1-#3 spots in google serps those competitors all have about 33k backlinks all pointing to them, and the majority of those links all come from 1 forum that they are doing media buys on. and Forum sponsership. It's a niche forum targeting the market I am trying to penetrate, I already contacted the forum owners and they stated it would be around 350$ for 6 months of advertising, or 600$ for a whole year. Seeing as how my competitors are advertising on there and its generated massive sitewide backlinks, would you say it would be a good move. I'm thinkin it might push me to front page as well with this players.
