...I don't have the heart to tell Breeze that the Democrats were HUMILIATED last night... it was definitely not "a favorable lite for the present Administration". Boy, I can't wait to see Pelosi do the walk of shame.

What delusional-filled world Breeze is in right now? I wonder if it has Obama as the Mad Hatter and Pelosi as the Cheshire Cat?

I don't think there will be a democrat president in 30 years after 2012.

Not sure if I understand. A country doesn't disappear within 30 years. Is it a typo on your behalf?

The Democrats have prevailed in righting the ship of state from the previous Administration and had a very productive session - the split Congress will be more than capable to continue the progress with positive results.

Panama didn't exist in its current format 30 years. A large change for the better IMO. Venezuela did not exist in its current format 10 years ago. A gigantic change for the worse. A country doesn't have to disappear from the map to disappear. It wasn't that long ago that Beruit/Lebanon was aptly named the "Jewel of the Mediterranean".

Split? Seems the car is out of reverse and on its way out the ditch.

I bet you balled your eyes out last night. How late did your parents let you stay up and watch the election coverage?

It's really very sad... they say that people lost in the desert with no hope of rescue often show the same type of delusion and denial. The utter and complete rejection of reality... in Breeze's world, the Democrats won both houses and all the governorships. When you think about it, it's really sort of pathetic. Breeze is no longer a joke, he's now pitiful, something to be pitied.

Very true. And it's not just true for Breeze. I have a friend who is a liberal democrat. Voted for Carter back in the day. Thinks that Carter was the best thing that has ever happened to the US. He also believes that Reagan was bad for America.

I used to argue with him about politics, and like I said in the post above that being liberal is a mental/genetic condition rather than a conviction, is absolutely true. It's as if somewhere in their childhood somebody really screwed up with their brains. I can picture it going like this. A mother, who is a liberal democrat, tells her son, who is three: "Johnny, war is bad! War is always wrong! If you ever go to war you will be killed and your guts will be scattered all over the field! Got it!?" Well, the little Johnny is of course terrified and begins to cry and is scarred with a fear of war for the rest of his life. And nothing can cure that fear, afterwards. He actually begins to develop hate for anyone who supports war. And that kind of irrational upbringing continues into his teen years. And then of course the school and college continue to brainwash him with a certain agenda.

I guess the question is how do you argue with people like that? There's no rational thinking there. Remember, war is ALWAYS wrong in their minds. Capitalism is ALWAYS evil. Higher taxes ARE the answer to the prosperity.

It's more like what liberalism has become. Look, I believe in equal rights, I believe in the Bill of Rights, including the broadest interpretation of the first two amendments. I believe in equal opportunity for minorities. I believe abortion laws rightly should be decided by each state and legal only in the first trimester - just like Roe v Wade says. I believe that maximum freedom of citizens is achieved if the people are governed by the States and federal government governs the states and not the people - just like the Constitution says.

This would rightly make me a traditional liberal. But today's liberals are really anarchists. Like Breeze, they are liars and they do not present facts, but they manipulate people with dishonest language and tone of voice. And today's Democrats do not solve problems, they subsidize problems and keep them in play.

Case in point: Gays in the military. There is no constitutional reason why gays should not be allowed to serve in the military. The common perception is that liberals support gays in the military. And when a court last month ruled that "don't ask, don't tell" was unconstitutional, the military was not caught by surprise. Within three days new instructions had gone out to recruiters, new orders had gone out to commanders, and procedures that had been prepared years ago for dealing with gay harassment were ready to go. But now you take that issue away from the liberals. So, Obama opposes the decision on some wishy-washy reason like he needs more time. Look, the military is all set to allow gays to openly serve - why does Obama need time? Because once gays are allowed to openly server in the military, Democrats can't use it as a campaign issue anymore. (Or maybe Obama just doesn't like change?)

What terrifies the Democrats is that the Tea Party is a true grass roots movement with no leaders. They think that only Liberals are capable of pretending to do that. The real thing terrifies them because they can't control it.

I think that this 1853 all over again and that the Democratic Party is going to go the way of the Whig Party.

Great post Corwin. The left is more focused on taking away liberties than it is on protecting it. The hypocrisy is overwhelming.Their goal is to marginalize conservative voices as extremist while permitting self proclaimed communists like Maxine Waters to be termed as a bit left of center. Santelli summed it up nicely here.

They adapted quickly this election cycle. Progressives infiltrated Tea Party rallies carrying racist signs so they could later call them racists. In more than a few races, the Democrats actually gathered the signatures and fronted the cash to put some kook on the ballot and call him the "Tea Party Candidate", to shave a few points off the competition. Things are going to evolve pretty rapidly here.

Big deal, Republicans will be at best co-piloting a ship already at sail - having a split Congress is unique and ignoring the Executive a playland for the limited in abilities but eventually even Obama will realize the tenuous state the Republicans have fallen into and expose to public view the true shallowness of Republican resolves.

The Washington Post, a journal that leans left of the NY Times in my opinion, had a most interesting op-ed article this morning. I tried to clip just a key section or two, but its just too damn good to leave even a single sentence unquoted. I thought it mirrored the spirit of this election rather well.

EXCELLENT video. Notice how Howard Dean opens the discussion with a lie and the others immediately called him on it.

I think the Republican victory has really shoved Breeze over the deep end. I used to be able to pull some fragment of meaning out of them, but now he is completely meaningless.

As a man that once almost became an army officer all I can say is this WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT ?

Are you kidding me ? A Civil judge has the power to rule over the army ? Since when is the army being ruled by civilian courts ? Furthermore gays are allowed to serve in the army ? What is this stupidity in the mix ? What's next mixed sex battalion ?

Excuse my overreation but are your judge idiots ? How can you expect for a unit to function properly if a member might jump in front of a bullet because he/she "really likes" that private ? Love has nothing to do in the army . War is the opposite of love and a functional army has no emotion except the will and desire to serve . This is the way of war .

Man Sun Tzu must be turning in his grave seeing this idiots .
