Nothing Beats the StumbleUpon Integration Tool

One of the best ways to bring traffic to your site is through StumbleUpon, the popular social bookmarking tool I have been using since January 2007. Unlike Reddit, Netscape and Digg which have the dubious honor of overwhelming most servers, StumbleUpon sends heavy traffic to your site over hours, days, even weeks at a time.

The StumbleUpon integration tool is very helpful as it serves as a reminder to readers of your articles to stumble that page. As shown here, I have incorporated the tool to have people stumble a particular page. If you use WordPress, Blogger, or Typepad, you can set this tool to show up on every page -- what a great way to get stumblers to thumbs up your pages.

I've tripled traffic to my flagship site since joining StumbleUpon. I am still adding members although I am just a few people away from SU's 200 member limit. Moreover, I should pass the 10,000 stumble mark later this week.

The traffic quality is good as I've been able to connect with quality members. I've benefited and my mutual friends have benefited from
StumbleUpon, a social bookmarking tool that is plenty of fun to use.

StumbleUpon traffic tends to crawl if you don't have many friends that will stumble your site. For how long you are getting traffic (and i mean 50+ hits) from stumbleupon ? i used to get on one of my sites like 200+ for 2-3 days than the traffic vanished.

The most I have received from StumbleUpon for one article was 3873 hits scattered over three to four days, with the bulk of the traffic on the first day.

More than 100 of my pages are bookmarked with Stumble Upon, so getting frequent and repeat traffic is common. There has been times when an article was hot for a few days, cooled off, and then suddenly warmed up again more than one month later.

Overall, I would say that 50 plus hits for an article doesn't go beyond a few days. But, by then, I have already written something else that gets a lot of stumbles too.

Together, my traffic is up by my ongoing playing with StumbleUpon.
