I've been a Mac user for 20 years and I did have a PC for Linux but Mac's move to a BSD-based OS made that obsolete. So it's Mac all the way for me.
If i has a lot of money im sure will spend it to buy Mac. Mac is great for design and i love it interface. However for now, just let is floating in my dream
MAC is definitely the way to go. I've never had a problem with mine. Runs great! The new ones are sweet too. I'm thinking of getting one. - Regards
I have never used a MAC I really dont know how good it is, but Windows so far is not the best, I like Linux a lot.
Yeah Macs are the best. You won't deal with all those registry errors and virus detected notifications like you do on Windows. Everything is much easier. Uninstalling is extremely straightforward too; drag the app to the trash can, no need for an uninstaller program. If you're into Photoshop, web site dev, or any other kind of development, then the Mac is your new best friend! Most of the professional programs function much better on a Mac and are also easy to navigate through..
Ha, very true. Got a Mac recently and if you think Windows is better, think again. "Not user-friendly?" Oh come on.
I am currently a mac user. I like mac and my friends say that when you are doing graphics... mac is good. another thing i like with macs is that their less susceptible to virus. I haven't encountered any for the 3 years that I've been using my ibook. However, there are also windows base programs that I wish were on mac. I like windows since I grew up with it. and I am more familiar with it.
Get one of the new macbooks released a few days back ,they are pretty cool. True. They are truly amazing machines!
definitely Windows Machine why? 1) Apple products are complicated to use. 2) Apple products concept is product for display, it looks great but not a user friendly this goes for all of their devices. 3) Apple products are very expensive. In short if your looking for external beauty go for an Apple product but if you're up to the use and feature ... go for something else not made by Apple.
I think what the poster meant was get a Mac, why? 1) PC products are complicated to use. 2) PC products concept is product you hide, it looks great ugly and is not user friendly at all. 3) PC products are very cheap and break easily. In short, if you are looking for ease of use, a smaller footprint, care about being green, and just want to be really cool! Get a Mac. If you've ever been with a two bagger, had to chew your arm off in the morning, or don't have any friends, get a PC. Buffalo, thanks for the thread merge... I was gonna say there are tons of these threads all over DP! Way to be on top of things!!!
I have been using a Mac for a while now, and I am still using a pc as well. My experience is that I like using my Macs compared to the pc. It sort of feels better, and I think it's more userfriendly as well. But that might be all about learning, windows is not very easy to learn, but once you learn it, it's fairly easy to use as well. But with a Mac, the design counts, that's for sure. I feel great using it, and it's very quite. My pcs are not quite at all (but I guess I could change the fans). There are many cool software that I haven't been able to find for my windows, like picturesque and quicksilver and writeroom (well, I found one similar to this, but not quite as good). And, I believe that if using a Mac makes you feel good (maybe because it's so cool) then you should get a Mac. Let me just tell you a short story: I was in a restaurant in Riga (Latvia) a few days ago with some of my colleagues. We were 7 people eating dinner. At a table not too far away, a woman about the age of 50 was working with her Macbook Air, while she was waiting for her food. I am the only Mac "fan" of the 7 people at our table, I was the only one that didn't comment the woman. Everybody was talking about how cool it looked, and about the Macbook Air - that it looked awesome and very thin and so on. This made me think, a computer can really help market yourself and you might actually become way cooler than you really are, just by using a cool product. At least for a little while I am still using a pc though. - Jens
