Alright, I've got a ~$2500 budget for a new notebook.

I'm looking at Dell's Precision M65 line of small business computers.

    http://www.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/precn_m65?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd

But, they don't seem too have a very much for reviews, and I want something I know will be good right when I buy it.

Now, the Precision M70 seems like a rock-solid computer with some good reviews to back it. But, I've never been a fan of Dell seeings as they load their computers with software out of the box -- and either way, I'll have to reformatt a clean install just to keep all that crap away from my computer.

The HP Pavillion DV8000 seems to have rave reviews on CNET, and very, very cheap and very cost-effective in my budget.

But I'm just ranting, here's what I'm looking for and I hope someone can point me in the right direction to a quality notebook for a good price! I do have a $2500 budget, but I'd like to keep it as LOW as POSSIBLE. Which is why I like that HP, it's only $1200.
    • Lightweight, easy for travel. Not looking for a rock to carry around with me.
    • Powerful enough to do mild image work and run Dreamweaver, FTP, etc. The basics of web developing.
    • Enough storage to keep my MP3 list at large, considering I'll be driving around a lot I can plug any sound source (cd player, tape, MP3, computer ;)) into my head unit and go.
    • GREAT BATTERY LIFE!
    • Built in wireless card is a plus, not a must.

That's it, anyone got reccomendations for a good mobile notebook? I'd like to stay in the 17" range if it is light, but, will go for 15" models if the weight outweighs the extra screen size.

Personally, I would have to recommend a MacBook Pro.

Does the HP use centrino? Because if it is P4 then it is junk

I have a Dell Inspiron 700m and couldn't be happier. Did a lot of research before buying and Dell seems to be the most recommended brand.

Hmm... I wonder where should I use my 8,000th post...? Any banned users around so I can post my "Geez, not again" pic? :D

    Processor
Available AMD Turionâ„¢ 64 mobile technology or Intel® Coreâ„¢ Duo processor options

I'm personally an AMD guy, so I'd go that route.
