As the domain name registrar in China, it is our duty to notice you, so I am sending you this Email to check.According to the principle in China, your company is the owner of the trademark,In our auditing time we can keep the domain names safe for you firstly, but our audit period is limited, if you object the third party application these domain names and need to protect the brand in china and Asia by yourself, please let the responsible officer contact us as soon as possible. Thank you! Kind regards Angela Zhang Anhui Office (Head Office) Room 1008 Shenhui Building Haitian Road, Huli Anhui, China Office:  +86 0553 4994789 Fax:     +86 0553 4994789 web:  rg-net.org web:  www.rg-net.org Is this a serious thing or what?? Many thanks for your help
I am not a lawyer...and this is not legal advice. However, this email is total BS! China does not recognize international patents, trademarks or copyrights. There is no such thing as an "Internet Trademark". BTW, SavannahSkate.com is not registered -yet! Best of Success, S.

Hi thanks for the reply, I had no idea it was a scam! People these days!!! Shocking, Once again Thank you
yes it is an act of spamming, but be sure, they are doing their marketing for other purposes. They need a reply in amazement. when you will reply they will give you some offer. Don't bother such a mail and when you get always mark them as spam
This is more a scam than a spam. I worked for some years at a domain registration/hosting company and we got tons of emails like these. There are some people who are buying up domain names of all types and names and then email a person who has a similar domain name, usually the same name but with a different extension and tries to sell them the domain name but at a very high price. I got one who wanted to sell us the same name as our companies domain name but with different extension for $1000. I guess they get some persons to buy their domains as they find someone who thinks that it is a good way of consolidating their business. These emails usually happen after a new type of domain name is launched.
