Not showing any incoming links in Google?!

I have a site that has great, original content and is linked to by many PR6 and above sites. However, using the "link:www.mysite.com" command in google yields ZERO links to me. In fact, when I look at my links in Yahoo and MSN, I also have zero, even though I have several hundred in actuality (if I believe the results of "lesser" search engines).

What could be wrong? Thanks so much for any help!

Google wont show all the links comming to you, they dont update the backlinks count regularly, my guess is they update it every 3months, whereas yahoo & Msn show it within a couple of days.

Try running your site through www.marketleap.com. Could it be that the PR6 sites are not linking to you directly but via script? Do they have a No Follow tag?

    Torched,
same results with or without www.

    e!0,
Thanks for the link to the tools... nice. Hoever, 0 links in google. Did see several hundred in MSN and a couple hundred in Yahoo via this tool though.

Could something be going on with the way my site is constructed?

sandyfeet, how old is your site? Have you tried a PR predictor tool? Some predictors give me a 0, some give me a 4.

I see 482 links in MSN. Your site is doing fine.

And PR prediction tools don't work.

waptap, how old is your site?

By the way, MSN shows around 400 links to your site, so there's no problem with this search engine.

Google only shows a tiny proportion of your links. Even then they only update 4 times a year.

I agree. Google could simply not show links for a site this young.
