Hi, as a premium member there is the possibility to see the "TRUE COUNTRY" field which is only dependent on the IP of the poster.

I was wondering if the feature to ignore all posts from users from specific countries could be added as an option, so I could have the option of not being shown any post or thread started by users from Pakistan for instance.

I don't know how hard it would be for the admin, and if this feature would be popular or not. I know I would use it.

Such a feature is already planned in the future... at least looking into seeing if it would be technically realistic.

Yes it needs to not be resource hungry, because possible it is for sure but maybe not realistic.

Thank you for your answer which gives me hope :)

I'm all for anything that reduces the amount of spam (I remember logging in last week and seeing in the SEO section almost a whole page of threads started by the same person with the usual mindless "what is..." that spammers are using.) However, wouldn't this just encourage some of the spammers to use proxies and VPNs?

It's funny when spammers suddenly realise their signature spamming is pointless:

Hopefully he'll pass on the message to his spammer mates/co-workers.

(I'm not sure what my true country shows up as right now on DP (when I'm at work, specifically). I'm physically sat in the UK, but different sites show it for: USA, Germany, France or the UK. The IP address is a US-registered one, though.)
