    1. Concentrate only on high commish products. Stay away from low-end, like clothes, food, electronics, computers...
    2. Get critiques of your site(s). How can you sell anything if your site looks like shit? The same with your ads!
    3. Advertise smart. Example: For ringtones, go to social sites, sites that teens hang out at.
    4. Write articles and quick tips. But have it continue to your site. Put your URL at the end that directs them to a landing page. Have a page, subdomain, for each of your products.
    5. ADVERTISE! You have 100 products to sell? That's 100 ads. Sorry, but that is the bottom line.

    sell expensive info products!

selling a $7 ebook is not that much easier than selling a $47 one.

i am not saying its easier to sell $47 than $7, what i am saying selling $47 ebook is not 6 to 7 times as hard as selling a $7 report.

If you are selling a $97 report, making 10 sales per month probably make you happy right? if you are selling $7 report, you need to make over 100 sales per month, which one do you think is easier to achieve?

    my other point-
in many cases, with a high quality product and well written sales letter, the product would actually be easier to sell at higher price. Think about it like this, would a person with health problem trust a magic pill selling for $1? i think you get my point. just my opinion, hope it helps.

I would say planning is the biggest part. Choosing a good product, with a good commission is the most important step to me. But even the best product wont make up for poor marketing skills.

msyaz, you're going to have to do some digging to find the high commish products.

Go through all the products in Networks like Commission Junction, LinkShare, Sharasale....

    It won't take long.

I'm not sure if it can still be done over the Net, but prescription meds and generic Viagra is at around 30% commish! And there are plenty of buyers for such products.

There are message boards for affiliates who deal in just those products. Do a search for 'em.

Also do a slew of keyword searches for high-commision products. "High commision affiliates" would be a good one.

DentalPlans comes up under those keywords. I don't know about them. I don't think they are as good as they claim. I have seen sites that tried it, like Askmen.com, and other very big sites, and they all took it down after a couple of months.

Also try health and auto inusrance.

Take out pad and pen and start writing down all the possibilities.

But remember, you don't want to have so many lined up, that you can't afford to advertise them all, and or they clutter your pages.

    Hi msyaz,

Yes, selling high-commission products is one way of making good money. You tend to sell less, but the high payouts make up for it.

Another option is to find a good affiliate program such as e-wealthforum.com's $2 per lead. Even though the payout is low, the leads don't have to buy anything. You get $2 just for them signing up to the free forum.

The best thing is, that it's a great forum about affiliate marketing so people WANT to sign up.

On top of that, they have a 2nd level where you get .50 cents when affiliates that you refer get their own leads.

    Other than the things you just heard from the other members you can check networks (like Leadpile) which will offer you few advantages: host the form (used to collect data for the lead) on your site;
    - brand it the way you want
    - you don't loose transactions due to cookies
    - you earn on coregistration leads + future sales.
Use "call to action" on every page of your site - you can even have the form on each page - only with Leadpile you can achieve that though due to the form size we use. Check it out!
