    Hello,

the potential of the buyers go down, when only registered users can purchase an item. Why don't allow not registered users to buy? This decreases the sales

Oh..oh.. Hold on. I think it will again give way for the scammers. Atleast with the registered members, we can check how good he/she is and then have a dealing. But, with anonymous users, it would give you no way to track down them and hence it will give way for scammers !

If at all an un-registered member wishes to buy something, why should he/she mind registering before buying it? Registering is no way a difficult process that too on a free forum like DP.

Also, why should an anonymous user take the privileges of DP?

    Purely my opinion.

When registered users already can buy, there is already the possibititly to track. And if it is a scam, they have the chance to register and post, report it or charge money back with paypal.

The probability of signing up when a guest gets scammed is higher than the probability a guest is forced to register and then buy.

When you enter a super market, are you forced to be a member if you want to buy something?

That has nothing to do with privileges. In business you cannot exclude potential buyers, if yes, then this is not a business.

    Online now: 1,585 (members: 109, guests: 1,476)

Excluding tenfold more people who may be willing to buy, is the worst think you can do.

You just need to look at the tracks that this is has no future. Since when there is the marketplace? I guess a while now.

When the current top sold product in marketplace ebook has only 19 downloads, and the second top sold product 10, then you see that this not works. Neither new signups to get it, nor the actual member have the flexibility to get in touch and have access to it like before.

Don't you see that DP lost the power at this section? This can destroy dp in future

In business or politics opinion doesn't matter. With the things you do, you can destroy it or improve it, outside your opinion. You have to go with what works. The results show that it doesn't work this way. And if you still are in this opinion, wait for the future till you loose all of your leadership

I think registration is necessary to fully take advantage of the site.

Uhmm. But again its a pain bro. If the scammer is a registered member, the admin/mods would ban him for lifetime and we also have an option to check for the IP if he registers again. I think DP never allows duplicate accounts and hence we can eliminate that scammer to the farthest extent possible. But with "anonymous" scammers coming into picture, I think it would be a great deal to handle them. However admin/mods should be able to clarify you on the load/issues it will incur.

Super market is something physical. You have security guards, bar code readers, scanners to prevent pilferage. But, this forum is something virtual. So, registration is a kind of security check :)

If the tenfold more people do not even have the interest to register and check this forum, I dont think they can be potential buyers who would increase the transactions. I, personally sell my domains here and I feel that most of the buyers are now genuine with the new marketplace. Also, the admin himself mentioned that there were many transactions than past.

Also, please understand that new system can get you the access so quickly than the previous system in which you had to make many crappy posts and wait few day (25 days I guess) But now, its just 3 likes and even if you get in 2-3 days, you will have the access to marketplace. Also, you now have an option of premium membership.

But i believe a opinion matters in a suggestion. you suggested something and I have given my opinion. I am not sure of the results buddy. In one of the earlier threads, Shawn (Admin) mentioned that there were more trade conversions than earlier.

It's fairly simple to register (if the user wants to do it with Facebook, it's basically a single click). You would also start running into licensing issues... Like what if the buyer has a vid license to what they purchased, but with no account, there is no licensing data, no way to rate/review, etc...

It's pretty common to need to be a user to buy something. Any legit site out there requires registration in order to buy something.

Yes, take Sam's CIub as an exampIe. Other supermarkets with memberships, aIthough not forced, incIude Kroger, Food Iion, Super VaIu, and then there are the other types of markets requiring memberships before you can get the Iowest price... CVS Pharmacy, Speedway, etc...

AIso, I'm sure hundreds of members browse DP as a guest (maybe thousands).
You can be a member of DP and stiII have a great deaI of anonymity.
