Not Ranking For Domain Name

I've done a bit of searching and can't find a good reason:

My site www.FreeArticleHQ.com has been around for a year this month. It has lots of good, relevant links, including one from DMOZ. I't never been in the coop or done any link swaping, Never even did any link building - all organic growth.

Nevertheless, a search for the domain name - freearticlehq - shows my site in position 49. I get ZERO se referrals - only traffic I get comes from the many inbound links sprinkled all over.

    WTF?

It’s just not optimized for this specific keyword. :)
No keyword mentioning in the page or meta, no keyword presence in back links.

Simply put it’s not by default that Google should return domain name.

Dude - I am searching for the actual Domain Name 'freearticlehq' how can a site with a link to my site outrank the site itself for a search on the domain name? Not just once, but 48 times!

When you search for a domain you are searching for all instances of your domain. Sometimes other sites are deemed more relevant if google trusts them more.

Sure, but i was thinking more on the issue of a penalty or something like a Sandbox effect or filter. Making the page on like place 20-50 for a uniqe word or brand. Whats your thoughts on this?

The way you are searching is for all the times the phrase www.yoursite.com is mentioned in the results. Its easy to see why other sites may rank higher.

if you don't rank first for freearticlehq.com then it means you are penalized. but you can't really make assumptions if you're searching for freearticlehq only

Well I don't rank in the top 50 for freearticlehq.com....

Google can kiss my ass - this site is clean

I did NO linkbuilding - all links are organic
    No directory submissions
No black hat tricks; hidden content, doorway, etc
I even have an inbound from ODP
Google link:http://www.freearticlehq.com shows 24 inbounds, though admittedly some are from the footer here on DP, 357 in MSN and 5,320 from Yahoo

WTF do you have to do to get ranked on Google?

BTFW, last October I made $6K from my sites - this month I will be lucky to break $400

    Eff Google those Mother effers!
