So anyway, I think my first post is in order.

I joined here once long ago, using an account long forgotten, in a land far far away.

But last year I returned here. Not for all the pretty faces (except for mine ;) ), but the vast pool of knowledge and persons here, sharing in the very same stuff I have myself enjoyed for many years.

    A lil' bit bout myself.

I learned to program before DOS existed, built my first "PC" from scratch components in '78, probably have owned or at least used virtually every type or brand of PC ever made, got to play with corporate mainframes using punchcards and tape storage when I was a kid. (it was so easy sending the system into a never ending loop requiring the sys admin to intervene with my programs, and resulting in an occasional reprimand. :) )

Nowadays I just play around with some forums and ecommerce websites, tinker with a small network at home, and manage/maintain very large advanced modern processes containing hundreds of PC's tied to hundreds of PLC processes in a manufacturing production environment.

    But enough about me.

I am here and joined to participate in a forum that I have visited and used as a resource for many years.

And I look forward to meeting many of you as time goes on.
