Hello, I just signed up and this is my first post. I signed up for an AdSense account for my website about a year ago. I have made barely any money even though I have about 30'000 visitors per month so I am looking for some advice on how to change that. Thanks
How many page impressions are you getting. Two very important parts is looks and returning visitors. If the ads are not placed well, people will not click them. The next thing is that if people only come at once they normally wont click the ads. You need people coming back and then you will get clicks
no one can advice yuo without detailed info. CTR is an important pis of info which can tell your visitors are clicking on your ads or not. also, sharing your site will be better so that we can look at your site and advice accordingly
30'000 is a lot of traffic man. If you are gaining that much, then most of the hard work is done. Just keep building and experiment with your ad placement.
If yoU Are Getting that Much traffic Then the MAjor Problem is Ad Placement Try To Place Ads On Ideal Places like At Header An Ad Unit Below The menu bar And Try Different Color You Will be Getting some Nice Amount Of Clicks + A Good CTR Its Guaranteed If You Do Well
In my view, ad placement and quality of traffic is important. Review your ad placement and blend the ads with the contents and place the ads at vantage positions. With 30,000 UV, earning should not be a concern provided you get targeted traffic.
normaly with 30K UV is quick good ... i think better u try find new niche for your blog to get more earning..
Wow, thanks for all your replies... I had email notification off and didn't even realize that they've been coming in! Well to answer all of you at once, I've had this site for years and I've had those kind of numbers for at least a couple but still see no result, so I don't think it's a matter of waiting. In my humble opinion, my big problem might be that the website caters to such a niche fringe market that there are just no ads that are specifically targeted to my kind of audience, you know? It's like if you are into collecting used tea bags... there's no advertisers that sell used tea bags and if there are they probably don't advertise because they are small companies with no money... hence, if you have a site about used tea bags and you display ads, all the ads you display will have nothing to do with used tea bags... Catch my drift?
Try Allan Gardyne's Associate Program site at http://www.associateprograms.com/ His database is pretty good.
Those are individual sites and the list is good. For the big programs you can read about them from the link in my sig. It is my site where I describe my experience and differences with some of the big programs.
I would much rather not have to sign up for a million different programs... I'd love to be able to find one program that is centered around music and that pays well (an oxymoron, I know) so I can have targeted ads and make some $
I was meaning to post my site for review in the appropriate section but it seems I can't until I have 25 posts and 2 weeks under my belt, so I was waiting for that... should I not?
