Not in Google anymore?

Well recently, I guess my site was taken off of Google.

I looked in Google today and typed in my name and the site didn't come up, and it always comes up when I type in my name. I also typed in the URL and it didn't come up.

So, I guess I got banned from Google right, or whatever?

I'm just wondering how long it should be until I'm re listed in Google?

Getting sandboxed means exactly how it sounds; imagine falling into a sandbox and getting dragged down into the sand - this is the same core principle. Google, for one reason or another (too many links?), will sandbox you and put you in, possible, 10-20-30->100th pages of the listing, making your site fairly useless for search results. However, if you keep working on the site ignoring the sandbox, you will be let out within time. My personal estimates is that sandboxing can be from 4-12 weeks, but also as long as 6mo; depending on the situation.

Not showing in search result for your domain name simply means that your site has been de-indexed.

It is a penalty for doing something which has annoyed google no end! :(

Try to introspect on your recent activities and undo the ones you feel would be culprit and then, go for re-indexing. You might get on board....fairly quickly!

Is the site brand new? Sometimes new sites can drop out of the index

RightMan is right. If you're in results for your own domain name it simply means that you're penalised. It might take months or even years to get back.
If it doesn't appear in results in two months and your website is new I strongly suggest you find a new domain and start over but learn from your mistakes.

you can be penalized for bad techniques trying to get attention to your website.. if you do a paid link directory inclusion you will be likely to receive a google penalty

if you penalized from Google or search engines this mean that you do some illegal action, try to gain them trust again

All these replies and no one checked your site in your sig file ??

Assuming it is the one in your sig file.

Your site is NOT blacklisted or banned.

It is not showing in google because you have it set NOT TO SHOW.
in your wordpress admin panel ...

Dashboard->Options->Privacy ->Blog visibility ... and select to allow search engines.

Changing that will fix your problem. Ignore those who say your banned from google without even looking at your site *sigh*

Thanks vagrant. I don't know how the hell that came to be. I remember putting the robot meta tag in there using the follow code or whatever.

    Thank you!
