it's been awhile since i've looked at (or even thought about)

    DMOZ & GOOGLE DIRECTORY

    however...

i just discovered i have a domain that is listed in GOOGLE (their directory),
but it's not listed in DMOZ?

    1) is this normal? (i thought ALL GOOGLE directory listings came from DMOZ)
    2) because it's NOT in DMOZ, will GOOGLE drop it from their directory?

    THANKS
    mike

It means your website either got removed (or if you were off line it got delisted) or was lost during crash, Google hasn't updated its copy in over a year so your pretty safe at lest until Google decides to delete its entire directory.

Take the description shown in the google directory & maybe try to re-submit it?

I'm not saying it'll work, just saying if that is the description that the first editor used, you may have better luck.

Editor: My, what a nice description, I don't think I could have written it better myself!
