Not happy with my website

Hello, over the past few weeks I have been working on designing a website on microsoft publisher.(www.makefaststacks.info) I was told that publisher is not really a good program to use when it comes to making websites. If you go to the site, you will see that things don't load properly, and it looks very unprofessional, almost like 90's website. I am wondering if I learn how to make this very same website in dreamweaver, will it improve the way it loads and looks? Another thing, do I have to learn CSS to make a website like this in dreamweaver? Right now I am in the process of learning how to use dreamweaver for building a website, and it seems a little complicated. In order for me to make a basic website, do I need to know any sort of web design language? Thanks

Publisher is just an old program. Its for the VERY VERY VERY non-web savvy website builder, such as a soccer mom who wants to make a soccer team website for little Timmys soccer league.

If you make the SAME exact site in Dreamweaver it wont LOOK better. You just have to improve how you build it.

CSS would be a plus, but Dreamweaver can create it for you. Dreamweaver does have a steeper learning curve, but if you put in a good days worth of studing it, reading tutorials, etc, you can improve that website greatly.

Check out: pixel2life.com for some dreamweaver tutorials

If you remake this website in Dreamweaver, it will still look the same. To improve the way it looks, it's not really about the script (though that's important too), but the design is very important.

A good start is to get rid of that background. It's too disturbing. The best thing to do is to set an equal color (lighter grey or white would look most professional).

And yes, using tables to position your site slows down everything. CSS is a real must for modern websites. It makes your website quicker, has more possibilities and is more built for the future.

I can make a better website for you. The site will have content as per your your current website and something more visitor-fetching contexts, but totally new design and fascinating look and feel.

You can see the design of www.twitterbucks.net as an example of my work.
PM me to carry out the deal.
