This is funny considering how last week I made a thread about how easy it is to get indexed. Out of every WordPress blog I've had, none has taken more than three days to get indexed. However, my new site (my SEO project) is not getting indexed, it's been a few days, they've spidered the sitemape and it says "URLs found: 5 URLs indexed: 0" I'm using an SEO theme and an SEO plugin that I've never used before. I'm not sure whether they may have insertered the noindex somewhere? Can someone please check it out and let me know why I'm not getting indexed? aussie-pythons.com Code (markup): Thanks
hey the code in your robots.txt file is User-agent: * Disallow: Change this to User-agent: * Allow: /
I am not sure if your suggestion is corrected or not but it seems he did not put "/" after "Disallow:" so I do not think that line would prevent bots from index web pages anyway. Please correct me if I am wrong. to OP, I have had similar experienced when my website was new and the indexed pages were always fluctuated. They would come back in a soon as long as you do not done anything wrong with your robots.txt file.
Thank you so much. I do that just by creating the robots.txt on my computer and uploading it to the root directory right? Thanks!
Oh okay haha, well thank you. Hopefully I'll get indexed soon, it just seems weird that most of my other sites were indexed after under 24 hours and this one has taken a few days.
