Hi everyone, I Recently started my blog with wordpress. I am using shared hosting with local company In Sri Lanka and I am living in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). I have 12 post and I am updating it regularly(However I am writing 3-4 Post weekly although I know it is not good amount. I am unable to find the enough time than this with my full time job). I did decent onpage SEO as well. I am using yoast SEO plugin and few more including image optimizer plugin also. I use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Quora and everything I know to get some traffic. So please help me to get more traffic. If you able to do I really appreciate all of your effort. my blog is digitalprophotoblog.com and, as I mentioned I just started. I like your writing style - obviously ESL but that doesn't distract the reader. You do need to get someone to proof your work, silly things like a space after a full stop and "of cause" is of course. Your site is new and the search engines reward older sites so you have to really work to catch up with all the photography sites that have gone before you. Your article is completely different to Ken Rockwell's so you could argue that you bring a fresh perspective to the topic, or a different way of teaching it. When I read http://digitalprophotoblog.com/canon-lens-color-ring/ I'm confident that you know what you are talking about but not that you have used the lenses. It would be nice for you to show some of your ability by using your own photos. You also need an about page with a photo of you - even if it's a photo from behind of you photographing something else. You need to personalise the blog so that you can stand out against the professionally produced sites owned by Canon, Nikon etc. Don't be bashful about being from Sri Lanka, showcase your work and your life. People will be interested.
Thank you for the valuable advice. As a Writer may be I have to improve lot Because English is not my mother tongue and still I am doing lot of grammar and spelling mistake. Aaah, you misunderstood. Your writing is actually really good and easy to read. Your biggest problem is just that you are new and it takes time to build up a readership.
One more thing What do you think about the format and look of my site. I just use free theme at the moment and hope to use premium theme after few weeks. Can you advice me regarding this point as well
you need to do better planning for content you can post 3 big content in week and after that 6 small content in week so total 9 or 10 something you can post so its really good effect for seo.

Using the social networks are one of the best ways to drive the traffic, Also, submit your sites to the directory submission, forum posting, and article submission sites to get more traffic to your blog. Do some guest posts that will help you to get the organic traffic from the Google search. Try to get more social shares of your contents to get more visits.
I would suggest you on developing 2000+ words content on weekly basis. Make sure to back your content with quotes and statistics. It will give you a big boost in readership and search engine ranking. I realized that you're using a WordPress platform which is good. Try to download Yoast Plugin and tweak on your post titles and meta description. Basic keyword research on the topic you're writing should be essential. All the best to you!
