    Hi all,

Anybody know of any perks for not-for-profit sites? For example- better percentage for ads, etc. Thanks!

Wouldn't a site running ads (for $) be a for profit site?;)

I don't think a not-for-profit site receives any benefits above and beyond what any other type of receives.

Good point Guy. Anyone know the technicalities on this? I'm just a volunteer who created the website for them and trying to help raise money.

Adwords isn't charity, it's business. I don't think it's up to google to determine charity tithes in a very real business.

Third party is intended only to make the interplay with advertiser and publisher a much smoother and efficient affair, not to make moral decisions.

What about public service ads? i believe they are free (or cost less) to advertisers but the catch is you have to be a registered and a well established non-profit.

These organisations are not only non-profit, but charitable. All I see are relief fund, red cross, counseling, agencies, etc.

I'm pretty sure that you'd have to establish with google that you are in no way shape or form out to earn any profit and have a legitimate and active agency.
