you need to fix it,add wordpress or any on it,then you'll be able to add adsense
if u add adsense you'll earn good money depend on your traffic, but for your site they pay good per click

Good PR but bad layout. Time for a site redesign. Keep your good content though!

Your page layout could be better you should consider getting a professional
template, there is too much information on the first page you should break it
    up into subpages.

Your site is pr5 but it looks like you are not getting very much traffic, you should
    focus on improving your traffic.

    One good technique ..
As someone suggested, don't put all your information on the first page.
What happens, users come to your site, they read all the information and WITHOUT clicking anywhere, they leave.
You must be getting a VERY LOW Click Through Rate if you check your adsense account.
Now here is the real deal.
PUSH YOUR USERS/VISITORS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ADS ON YOUR PAGE.
Create several pages (like a series) and keep your ads as close as possible to that part where you will put 'NEXT PAGE'.
Your visitors will notice the ads and may click on them. Try this and this will definitely increase your CTR.
Secondly, as someone suggested, use text-link-ads.com or contextual ads (Kontera) or any of those networks. Users generally do click more on contextual ads.
Ofcourse, having a little better design will help.
More or less, your website is a static website. People are recommending you to use Wordpress, so that your visitors can ask you questions. A dynamic site where your visitors have ability to communicate with site admin or other users, will definitely get more visitors and better opportunities to make money.
In addition, get forums. Either install a free copy of phpbb or smf or any other you like OR, get vBulletin. I know, running forums is a pain in the back, but you will get a lot of folks out there who wouldn't mind moderating your forums. By having forums, you will have a stronger community and two-way conversation. This will help in adding more users and you will for sure get more incoming links, which will help you get a better PR.
Try these tips first and I'm sure other members may have a lot of suggestions for you.
    Hope these tips help ..

P.S. As a matter of fact, I have seen thousands of peeps crying (including me) to get visitors and a better PR, but encountered only 1 who has all that but asking a way to monetize the traffic lol. No offense meant. We wish you good luck. Happy Monetizing!

    Regards,
    Andy.

It may be, however, I don't think thats true in case of olddocks' site.
He has good content. The only problem is that his content only lures webmasters who are interested in PHP, MYSQL, APACHE stuff. And we all know, webmasters hardly click ads unless they are desperate to find something they are unable to find on his site. The reason he is still making $10 or $20 a month, some newbie webmasters who are trying to learn PHP, MYSQL or APACHE may click on the ads.
Thats why, I mentioned, move your ads closer to the areas where users click to navigate to resourceful pages. He may be lucky enough to get some accidental clicks too lol. It happens.
    Andy.

    Thanks netproint for your advice!

actually, i just left the site without taking care at all. The site is never promoted and gets all natural traffic from Google. Because people are after good content, i dont know how i got PR5.

BTW, i have kept my site plain and simple and the reason for i kept simple html pages is SEO than just going for wordpress and other scripts. May that is the reason why i am scoring in Google or perhaps the reason for PR5.
