Rules Not being able to post?

Ever since I've made 2 posts all my posts result in approval for moderator which never gets approved. If I've done something wrong, let me know. I've received no notices and no matter how many PMs I send to the admins / moderators I have NOT received a single reply.

Is this how Digital Point treats its users?

    Can this please be fixed?

    Thanks.

    Hi

We have a huge issue with spam on this board so we use an automated service to identify posts which may be spam and these go in the moderation queue. The mods are all volunteers and we review the moderation queue when we can.

Thanks for the response. Definitely not trying to spam however, I've had this issue for about 2 months and hence the question. I have patiently waited for weeks before flagging anything. Thanks for understanding.

The filters are beyond just spam... they (attempt) to cut out low-quality posts as well... For example if you post stuff that really isn't terribly useful like, "Great thread!"... chances are it will be automatically sent to the moderation queue and probably never make it out.

Surely haven't done such posts. Have replied accordingly to the topic. Does every reply get monitored or only for new starters?

They are all monitored, but new members are held to MUCH stricter/higher standards.

I know it's a bit of a pain, mate, but stick in there as it seems like you make good posts. After you've looked around a bit more, you'll see why such a filter is needed (as you'll see a lot of crap that makes it through and then imagine the filters weren't in place and it would be ten times more crap probably - but only an admin like Shawn could say how much more for sure).

For a list of really crappy posts, just look in the SEO section.

For example, this "individual" (it's probably a bot or some other kind of spam):

Understood. Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against said filters - only that I didn't get any feedback and it took 2 months to finally get a reply here. I do understand mods/admins are busy. Thanks for taking a look.

Understandable, mate. I understood you fine (sorry if my post came across in the wrong way). You can always Tweet Shawn, too. Seems like you posts get accepted fine now, which is great!

Looks like it wasn't approved, you have no posts waiting in the moderation queue.

Hmm, it seems my employee is having the same problem... IF she posts a more detailed post etc, will it come up for moderation, a second time? Or is the moderation queue a permanent blackhole?

I guess I should also state she cant even get a post approved in the 'introductions' forum either. dunno if that helps any?

    Thanks!

    Henry

It can be various things... If services like Akismet have seen spammers from the user's IP, email (or domain the email is in), they might flag it for moderation as well.

Well, We just moved to our new office, so I dont think our ip is blocked. Should we change the email to a gmail account or something, does that help?
