I signed up for Google Apps, www.google.com/a/
34 minutes lates, I am indexed in Google with a PR2. I probably have about 10 backlinks or so. This was extremely surprising to me.

    Anyone else?

A correlation between a product registration and the fact that your site got indexed?

    Would be very interesting. ;)

I have an EXTREMELY hard time believing that Google picked up 10 backlinks for your site and gave you a PR2 in 34 minutes. Do you have any hard proof of this?

You can't have PR in 34 minutes, it was probably a previous PR for the site that was there before.

I am sure you were already indexed and got PR by the last PR export. you just noticed that 34 minutes after you joined Google Apps.

Also, give me URL of your site .. I will tell u when you was actually indexed and when you got the PR.

Not true for sure. What did you use to calculate the exact time?

did you buy the expired domain or something. If it's new domain, definitely you can not get PR that fast. but it's possible to be indexed that fast though. (just put oour site up and apply before google lauch bots to crawl sites)

Was your site brand new and up 34 minutes before you saw the pr? Surely the domain name was up before that. Did you check the domain history?

I noticed WEMUG showing up in SERPs less than 24 hours after GrownUpGeek.com mentioned it, things can happen fast but I believe PR isn't based on near real time changes.

I definitely believe in seeing results within 24 hours, but not within 30 minutes.
