Hi, I do not know if some one can help with this problem, My site has being submitted for same time to yahoo, and a lot of my pages have being index, but some of them do not appear on the serps, anybody may know why? I do not seem to have the same problem in Google.
You should create a sitemap for your site and submit it through yahoo site explorer and build some high quality backlinks to your site and your site should be index.
Thank you for the response kingofsanda, I have summited a site map to site explorer and a lot of the pages had being index , but not all appear on the serps, mostly the pages that have keywords on the urls appear on the serps, do you know if yahoo gives preference to this kind of pages, or is there something else that is making not all my pages appear on the serps. Thanks
Yahoo says it can take quite a few weeks before it crawls it. How long has it been since you initially submitted it?
Yahoo rankings and positions building are a bit slower in process. So,it would be a better option to wait for a while.Concentrate on google till then,it will also help for yahoo.
Thanks, my pages have being in yahoo for ever, more than 6 months, I never took the time to find out why this was happening. Although almost all my pages have being index, only some appear on the serps. Has anybody had this problem before?. I had no problems in Google and in MSN a had it for a while but then they star to appear in the serps.
Hi, getting pages indexed and having rankings are two different matters. Having properly developed web pages with SEO friendly points is helpful for having them indexed while adding one way links will be beneficial for the placements of web pages in the search engines.
thank you, by one way links, you mean, back links, correct?,I understand that back links improve you rankings but my pages or in any case the pages I am optimizing for a specific keyword, do not appear at all on the serps, only for some, and these pages that appear on the serps do not have any back links so I think is something else, and this only happens in yahoo. In another subject, in order to improve your rankings do you need a back link just for the home page of your website and all the other pages will follow in ranking, or you need a quality back link for each page you want to rank higher ?
I've reached #3 position in Yahoo for one three-word medical term; only the most famous laboratory site is in front of me. Article is few weeks old, the site is online for 22 months. Competition is "only" 500.000, but there are many respected medical sites there. What did I do: - 3000+ words article in WP blog, with the whole keyword phrase used only twice, but main word used 100+ times - just naturally. - title, containing only one word from three-word phrase - exact keyword phrase in a H" tagged subtitle - exact phrase in "tags" - exact phrase in "All in One SEO Pack" description and keywords PR of the site is 3. Only very few links point toward the article. I rank #15 in Google.
