I hope it wasn't you clicking it. There are some ad clicks that have such a low price value that it may not be reflected in the total due to the system rounding up or down the dollar value. Like say the ad click was valued at something like $0.004 per click, it might not show up, but with more clicks, it would add up in the aggregate. At the same time, ad guys who pay such a low fee obviously get stiffed for being cheap with less page views... It's your first day so no worries.

My be the click was for public service ads from google. If this is the case then do something fast. You don't want public service ads on your site.

Remember, Google knows all of your acquaintances. They perform extensive background checks on everyone who signs up for an AdSense account. The question people should be asking is how does Google know all of this? Are they reading all the emails you send and receive? Is every move you make on the Web being tracked? How about every move you make off the Web? Does it concern you that Google knows everything about you? Who else might they tell? The government?

How much money will it take for you to give up all your privacy and freedom? Just food for thought.

Now, to your question. No one knows for certain how Google conducts it's business. But I would think that your website's popularity, the number of unique visitors, page impressions and possibly your search ranking would play a part in how much your Google AdSense ads will pay per click. I wouldn't think that Google would pay top dollar on the first day of being on your website. I may be wrong but I think it would take time to build up.

Google often doesn't pay from clicks from certain countries. Chief among these is India, but there are many others that they don't pay out for as well.

to our disappointment I have found out the hard way too that google
doesn't always pay for every click you received, but I think the scheme
behind this is probably a program where you only get paid if a product
    gets sold, sorta like amazon.

I've try all ways but I haven't had any success with Google

I get this all the time, hate it. Could be click fraud or a very low paying ad. I thought the lowest bid was 5 cents so you should still get something for any valid click.
