Ok, I'm going out of my mind. You guys are all pro's, but I'm very new at this business website thing. I've been comming here for awhile, but I didn't see any place where there's a spot for people who need to learn a lot. Like hosting, what programs to modify websites, and complete tutorials for putting a site online from beginning to the end including all aspects. You guys wouldn't want me to work at some random manufacuring company for the rest of my life, would you? Is there some forum in here that's for assistance and a newbie to webmaster stuff?
There is a place, Use the search feature and search for hosts as an example and you will have a lot of info.
For hosting contact me with your budget For programs to modify websites : try Dreamweaver A brief Complete tutorials to put up a site online: You need to have content, a basic design (or a blog) <-- this can be easily installed from ur cpanel, and hosting to put it up on. If you are into something like a portal you need to find the programmers who can handle your requirements (if you have any specific plans in mind i.e) As for the spot: DP is a whole treasure of info matey just find the right piece of info - search for it Edit: infonote posted the answer to the last one while I was compiling your answer
If you mean the search feature beside the New posts, it don't work to find out basic questions to see if someone asked anything like that here. You've got to be kidding me. LOL. -I can't get hosting because I don't understand exactly how much activity and what kinds of sites would take the most money to run and if it's worth it towards profit. On top of that I can't figure out if there's any risks of un trustworthy hostings, or do I need the use FPT(which program should I use) to bring it online (is there anything else I should know). Basically I'm learning in the dark. Here's another example. I could probably run on here but something and put it online. But since I'm a beginner, what if I bought something that actually has some lisensing issue, or what if there's some weird way it has to be tweeked for adsense to be put up on it. Any speed bump will really mess me up. Does anyone know of any site that would have very good writups explaining a lot of things about websites, like Mysql(PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, HUH???), All about hosting(learning about it), Full tutorial on the differences of HTML, JAvascript, how blogs differ from other types of sites, etc. Now that would be a great site I need.
FTP: FileZilla Host: www.hostmatrix.org Domain: www.domainsite.com or www.namecheap.com Money: www.google.com/adsense If you overuse, you can upgrade on there, they also provide subdomains and they are free Ok, here is what you do. 1. Go to here: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/fi..._29_setup.exe?modtime=1162395139&big_mirror=0 2. Download the file, install the program. 3. Go to here: http://forums.hostmatrix.org/faq.php?faq=new_faq_item#faq_new_hosting_requests Read the info on that page, it is very important that you read it, they are not very strict, but they delete accounts which have no index page on. So you would put in this forum the following info: http://forums.hostmatrix.org/forumdisplay.php?f=223 DONT just copy that, copy it, edit it, add real age and real name and change the subdomain and change the email. Ask me once you have your account to add the adsense, cos i know how to do it. Cant be arsed to explain that bit, lol. Rob Edit: view some example requests Ok requests: http://forums.hostmatrix.org/showthread.php?t=12719 (Not verified by admin yet, but i am 95% sure they will get hosting) http://forums.hostmatrix.org/showthread.php?t=12647 (verifyed and accepted, and the description wasnt massive) Bad requests: http://forums.hostmatrix.org/showthread.php?t=12557 (You cant host music)
LOL. I know how you feel... Back in April 2005, i had the same problem, but nobody helped me, and nobody ever did help me, until late 2005. I learned by myself, and it has paid off. Once your done with getting your hostmatrix account and creating a site, go to here and add to as many directorys as you can: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=65 I did this to my flash.vg site until it got hacked, and i believe it was predicted PR4. On another note, MAKE YOUR PASSWORD FOR CPANEL VERY STRONG, or get hacked. That is what i learned 4 weeks ago, when 4 sites got hacked... If you dont like *.hostmatrix.org, go to www.freedomain.co.nr and get a redirect domain. It works like this: http://www.totage.net.tf/ If you look at where the data is transfered from at the bottom, it says totage.hostmatrix.org. It is justa simple iFrame. Any questions? Rob
When asking this from them, don't I need to have something of a template of a website to provide for them?
