My McAfee has expired and now my net provider is offering Norton Security Suite free. Just wondering what everyone thinks about it? I used Norton's a few years back and was not impressed. Has it improved?

I loved Norton when I had it! I have McAfee now but I would switch back to Norton any day. They have a system where you can track the exact location of where a virus came from! lol

Norton is a good antivirus system but i think it is not much effective than Quick Heal.

Norton's always was a resource hog and I see it has not changed. I downloaded it as I figured it is better than nothing. I noticed that you can pick up Trend at Wal-Mart for $20. Used that sometime back and was always impressed with it. Is it still good?

I have been trying to make the change to Norton from McAfee and it's been nothing but headaches. Today I have been online with Norton technical support for over 6 hours. I've been dealing with a support team member by the name of Shami. What a mess it has become. Now Norton is installed but still not working. They don't listen, they only assume many things that seem to make matters worse. I would personally advise anybody to think long and hard before going to Norton. I will update this forum later, after I get the program installed, if it ever happens.

Northon is bypassed by time, I do remember when people worked to call that solution Dr Norton lol, but now its not that great for personal use, our days, many clients of Norton are from Companies because of the help they give, but I don't think that Norton is that great for personal use, try Kaspersky.
