if you are looking for a free anti-virus solution i would recommend Avast.

    For a paid solution, nod32.

In all cases do not choose norton

AVG is an excellent free option, many people have used it for a long time and never had any problems, myself included.

i agree that AVG `was a great software ` . However, over the years, it has lost allot of points in my book. My prefered free antivirus is now Avast as i`ve stated above

We trust symantec products for both our office (Symantec Endpoint Security) and home (Norton Internet Security). They work great and very satisfying.

My vote goes to Microsoft Security Essentials and Avast Free Antivirus. If you need something more advanced, then go with Norton.

If you want to configure most of your own settings, go for Norton. If you need something simple, cheap and something that generally does the job, go for AVG. I'd say AVG is just as good as Norton, overall.

It depends on how much u care for ur personal stuff. If you're using credit card or other important stuff then u should go for a paid security plan rather than a free one.

As for free one Either AVG or Avast (Personal experience).
