What are your opinions about this continent? Why is it still occupied by imperial Britain? Why isn't this an issue while Americas&Israels war against real terrorism is? Is the state-controlled propaganda machine BBC to blame for this once again?

Ok, IRA is unnarmed and their terrorism is basically gone. So, since they become more peaceful, they no longer deserves any political noise?

Telling countries in the Middle East want to do or not to do, is not the same as telling countries in the Security Council what they can or cannot do.

I would like the rest of my country back, however saying that I dont think its worth killing innocent people over, its the coldest part of the country and its full of chavs, provos, nationalists and generally all the crap we dont want in the republic.
Only about 3% of the people in the republic actually support the IRA, the rest of us just dont give a crap.
    we are smarter than that.

All 3 of those statements show you no very little about the situation over here. You may want to stick to the Isreal/palestine threads etc.

    Yes :)

Since you're obviously looking for comment on your original ill infomed post here goes..............

Because almost 60% of people living there want to remain part of the UK and less than 25% want to reunify with the rest of Ireland
    http://www.ark.ac.uk/nilt/2005/Political_Attitudes/NIRELAND.html

I think the clue is in your statement, you're saying we should concentrate on another issue apart from 'real' terrorism?

I'm sorry, can you explain that? Political noise?

I guess wherever he gets his news from the IRA is no longer in existence nor is it active. I guess Political Noise means it doesn't have 50 threads dedicated to it on this forum

Maybe someone should tell Denis Donaldson the IRA doesn't exist anymore

I get it, so political noise is when there's a thread on the forum about it.
Does that make Latehorns posts obtuse noise? ;)

Everyone can put up some stats. However, it sounds very unrealistic that the major population in Northern Ireland wants to belong to imperial UK and not to their real country.

    Yeah, you think alot..

Well IRA has reported that they ar an unnarmed organisation now. Havn't heard of much violence lately btw.. http://www.sluggerotoole.com/archives/2005/09/ira_states_it_i.php

I am not taking a stance against UK, just curious what you think about the situation when many Brits put the blame on America/Israel. Mayby you should clean up in your own house before you complain at Americas foreign policy.

Latehorn, do you know anything about the situation? I suggest you go read up on the subject before you embaress yourself any more.

You do know for example that Northern Irelend consists of people both loyal to the UK and to the Republic of Ireland. (And many that don't care)
I mean that's pretty basic stuff, but you show your ignorance of it -
Something maybe you should consider too

Like I said, you obviously don't follow the situation by your comments above. Try reading yfs1's post

I equally put the blame at the UK govenment's door for the Iraq situation. It's a citizens job to question their government when they do wrong. Not to defend it blindly as some do ;)

The fact that the North is still British tells you want percentage are "loyal" to the queen. I would like you go into a Loyalist pub in Belfast and ask them why they don't want to be part of the Republic - Their "real" country.

Why do you think that is? Obviously they are a bit biased.

We don't control the world media...Anyway it's not always violence
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/4154657.stm

Honestly that makes no sense. What house are they cleaning?

PS. I would consider myself a Republican, but it doesn't mean I have to support thug activities which only line criminals pockets

I have never stated any status of my knowledge about this situation. However, it's pretty obvious that Northern Ireland is a lot closer to dublin than london. But don't mind. I am not against the occupation at all. Actually I support both an imperialistic UK and an imperialistic US. Just wanted to see if there was any double standard.

Why is the Iraq occupation so bad? Why is occupying Falkland Island so good despite that it's on the other side of the globe?

Still, I support your imperialism.. not your double standard on imperial rights tough.

Or are you referring to that 'Himmler' profile of yours? Did it get banned? Not surprised.

I think you've made that quite clear :)

There are large parts of France that are a lot closer to London than Paris - so you're saying they should become British? I don't think the French will be very pleased!

Can you point out the double standard? I don't think anyone but you can see it!

Are we going to continue this or must you continue embarrassing yourself?

Since when is Iraq part of US imperialism

I would love an intelligent discusion on Northern Ireland but I'm not about to keep feeding you Latehorn so you can use it to justify a completely different issue.

You obviously have no concern to educate yourself on the situation here (and are quick to insult McFox with a completely unrelated jibe) so its best to leave it to others.

Did you notice that GTech didn't come to your aid? Its because although he may share some of your ideals, he isn't getting involved in something he knows little about.
