Very true, which is why the universal condemnation of Iran and N.Korea's nuclear ambitions is such a bold print message to those country's leaders saying "God you people are lunatics".

Interesting to hear you call those nations uncivilized. Personally, I'll refrain from commenting.

how can you say very true about "the world never agreed on one view regarding anything" when you say: "but the practically the whole frigging planet including Russia and China?"

yeah, I expected you would say so, that's why I put it in italic

Pakistain has proven themselves irresponsible with nuclear technology. Both Pakistain and North Korea are a threat to nuclear proliferation. North Korea gowing nuclear could provoke Japan, South Korea and Tawain to join the nuclear club. The reponse to Iran will be that Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia go nuclear.

UN is still offically at war with North Korea :D

Now, it seems like the first NK's bomb was a 4 KT bomb. It went terribly wrong and the yield we got was 0.5 KT.

This time, they have corrected their mistakes. The design is the same, and the yield is said to be 4 KT. That is quite a feat.

You know, anyone can build a 20 KT bomb. The knowledge is out there. The design is reliable. The Americans dropped that kind of bomb on Hiroshima in 1945. But the problem with that kind of bomb is that its very large and cannot be mounted on missiles.

Now, a 4 KT bomb is an engineering feat, and could be small enough to be mounted on North Korea's missiles.

It seems the "Dear Leader's" main aim was weaponization of missiles rather than just producing a big bang. They were ready to trade off bomb yield in order to be able to mount the nukes on their missiles.

    Amazing... :)

North Korea is playing a dangerous game. I'm wondering how patient Japan will be as North Korea builds a nuclear aresenal aimed on them.

Well at least you can admit the world universally condemned NK's bombs. Your one step ahead of Imad.

Regarding 13 year old boys on chat forums, I think that little fantasy is probably something you should keep to yourself.....

Hey, I agreed with your oil allegation. After all, one could consider the need for massive amounts of oil part to be part of the GM bailout.

Regarding bringing freedom to other countries, I wish it were only that simple. If the rest of the world could put together something more than a weak ass ineffective military force controlled by wishy washy leaders, especially the UN, there would be no need for the US to be in these places. I personally think it sucks that the US is the world's police, but we are. Given that we have limited resources and the US taxpayers have to pickup the entire bill, I'd say it is our right to pick and choose our battles.

I'll tell you one thing for certain. I'd rather have US troops shooting bullets in Afghanistan(or any other country for that matter), than have the battle in our back yard. Make money not war(at home) I always say.

I also heard that North Korea has one of the most sofisticated land to air defense system in the world? If this is so, using jets against targets doesnt sound to prudent of an idea. WE allready have a problem with overpopulation and instead of the world getting together to try to solve it or prepare for colonization of the moon we are bent as a species to get closer to eliminating each other.
When you lose love in the world and replace it with greed, power and selfishness, its a great recipe for extinction.

Well said brother. I agree with you completely. :)

North Korea has an advanced Surface-to surface missile system. Examples - Scud B, Scud C, Sucd D, Taepodong, Nodong.

    Check out http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/dprk/missile/index.html

Most of their air defense systems are old SA-6 missiles from Soviet Union. they were outdated in the 1980s. Saddam Hussein had them, but couldn't shoot down anything.

And it doesn't matter when a B-2 is flying miles above sea level just taking them out one nest at a time :D

I'm sorry obamanation, I don't care howmuch of a threat a country is to us, if we have the nukes, they can have them too. Every country has the right to self defense.

That being said, I'd prefer everyone just got rid of them. It would be MUCH easier.
