Normal Stats? Almost 40,000 Impressions; ~$2 earned

I run a forum that has been open for about a month and receives a decent amount of activity. There are 7 members and 5 guests online right now.

I also have one horizontal banner at the top of my forum, and this is the only ad. It is displayed to all members and guests, but it has been earning very little... often only a few cents per day.

So I'm wondering if my statistics are normal. With 40,000 impressions, only 2 clicks seems way below average. Yesterday I had 150 forum posts and earned $.02. What am I doing wrong?

 

sounds like bad ad placement to me

 

Forums & Adsense = tough. Real tough.

 

Adsense don't perform good with forums. Of course because of less chance of adsense placements.

i think your ad-placement is not proper. There are numbers of forums earning lots of money. DP is one of them.

 

Just check this forum's ad placement and try that.. Still I am not sure about getting high CTR.. its about testing, testing...
